The casting down of Icarus

Oh Icarus, the wings were your hubris.Oh Icarus, you sought to join the convocation of wings!
But fake as your devotion were your promises and through the lies they saw it.I know that you never flew too high to the Sun nor too low to the waves, but were carried by their wings and dropped upon the rocks.
Your father was loathe to see you fall, but drop you he did. The birds were always watching, and he did not wish to lose his wings.

This was inspired by a dream I had.

The birds were of lighting and one mind, they sought man for their nests and in return gave them gifts.

Icarus did not want to give back in exchange for the gifts, but take them. The birds cast him down by hand of his father.

Then as he fell, the father turned to me and said "Odd are the ones that start to observe.", and pushed me. I too, fell.

Then I woke up and needed to shower cause I was sweating from either the dream or because the fucking heater turned on and not the air conditioning this morning. Fucking thermostat.

The dream was... vivid. Like my last dream, still stuck in my head. Probably been reading too much Lovecraft, honestly. Been reading again instead of gaming for my escape from reality.

Anyway, wrote... something. Why I write and post here I don't know... may post this elsewhere later anyways.
