This flock is taking over

I'm Maggie, or Magpie, and my flock consists of our Crest, King, or Kingfisher, Corvy, or Crow (Corvus and Cory mashed together), the Beaks Cassie and Emmy, both girls being Cassowary and Emu, and myself as our Quill. Oh, and we have another Covert actually, I forgot about Tawn, or Tawny Owl. King and Corvy are the only males. Our Beaks happen to be top tier multiple martial art masters or something, and females are often under estimated as threats. It's pretty cool.

Lil Wormy WereMagi here was feeding the Bright Ones mince he seemed to be buying to feed them with when we rolled up. Everyone but Tawny, hence why I forgot about her. But yes, was kinda cute actually, with how many of them waiting for him to throw some their way. They're cute when they act like normal birds.

He seemed to figure we weren't here to check his water meter or whatever excuse Crow was trying to invent since he didn't want all of us coming at once but King is the Crest and said we're all going and the Bright Ones didn't over rule, so...

Anyway, he tried to slip inside his place but King did his trick with moving from here to the Shore and back to a different place here fast enough we call it Mock Teleportation and grabbed him and dragged him in, and we kinda followed in after with Corvy staying outside to keep feeding the Bright Ones but they stopped pretending to be birds at this point and weren't as cute anymore.

So, why we're here? Bright Ones are pretty sure this guy is a Receiver, having felt him tune in a times. Happened to find that he was blogging since I turned his PC screen on and saw he had latest post open. Relied that across and the Bright Ones told me to blog about what we're up to, so Hi, I'm working. I just normally log things in my journal as Quill, but I am to use this blog while we decide how we can use the guy.

I like his blogs name, very suiting for a creative. His place has barely used or not even used writing journals in some piles, art journals in others and he even has a type writer that I'm looting, and the few pieces he has half done are all darkly beautiful. His blog name seems to be taken from a song he's written two lines for but then likely hasn't come back to, it's on a small writing pad by his screen.

I kinda like this joint, glad we're holing up here for a while. Tawny is heading out to confirm something for us, but she'll be here later.

Not sure what else to talk about for my first post. Oh right, Faceless! Kinda confusing to see someone you know but at the same time don't know. The Bright Ones have tried to explain it to me a few times but I end up forgetting it, but something about Dimensions Bleeding and the Newborn causing different world's sometime bleeding in, and with the Newborn having been born unto the world, even the Internet has sites from other worlds showing up.

So, our Faceless doesn't blog, because they run the largest flock network in the world, managing both Canada and America's Nests. Pretty sure our Crest has to listen to him when we're on his turf, he's that big of a Crest. So yeah, to see at least A Faceless that blogs, I kinda want to fan girl but also not because he's more a full time asshole... Still, Bright Ones are pleased, so I'm pleased. Not sure if the others can feel that from their birds.

Anyway, should probably mention that our Worm is out cold. Took us a while to drug him, he was a pretty tough nut to crack. Had to take him by surprise when our Beaks' intimidation wasn't working, so I took initiative. Corvy had this liquid that he had that I didn't bother to remember the name of that they wanted the Worm to drink, so I took a swill and then made out with the Worm and made him take it that way. Corvy was mad but King was happy it worked, so I don't know what's Corvy's issue. Can't a bird play with it's food?

No idea what tests they have to do, not my duty to worry. This guy has a decent room which I'm taking up. The others will be getting couches and King got the spare room. When I told him that the Bright Ones wanted me to use the blog, he already knew and told me to take the room, but Corvy didn't like the idea. No idea what's wrong with him.

Think that covers everything. Now to see what other stories, songs, poems or art I could find in his computer. And he has a lot of games on his Steam... I like this job.

  1. Well...

I hope you let Were live...

It'd be a bit sad if he were to be killed....

    1. Well, he IS a Receiver. We NEED him a alive and all that jazz.

Also, you're that mouth man guy that should be dead, right? We don't generally follow people who don't seem to be connected to us, unless they're important in our world.

  2. Crest? Quill... I've never heard these terms before. I'd mock you and your universe for the use of these airy titles, but apparently I am a big shot there, so I guess they're doing something right. I am learning so much about myselves.

    1. Oh, sure, you being "a big shot" would be a *great* idea. You run your little town with such empathy and reason, after all.

    2. Empathy and reason aren't important all that matters are results and my neighbourhood is one of the nicest and most well maintained neighbourhoods in town.

    3. Yes, killing a cat and scarring a little girl was definitely worth having a high enough bush.

    4. Don't anyone dare take that out of context.

    6. Too many infighting and rivalary between single and groups of nests kept ruining things and making Nests in generala laughing stock until they brought in the Flock System to manage everyone.

  3. I didn't realize the birds were so starved for attention that they need their nests to steal blogs for them.

Or is some kind of modern magpie thing? Instead of stealing shiny stuff to attract a mate you're stealing people's google accounts.

    1. I AM NOT TRYING TO ATTRACT A MATE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

    2. Are you sure about that? You do seem pretty enamored with Faceless over there. Don't worry, I won't judge. We were all young and in love once.

  4. It would appear my prediction of Magi becoming a Scarecrow came true faster than I thought it would. Hopefully he'll actually amount to something under your master's "guidance". I've been looking for a good fight for decades.

    1. Depends on how he works as a Receiver. They all behave differently.
